Mama Mangalore brings authentic Mangalorean cuisine into a fast-casual setting, designed for a wide audience looking for bold flavors and a distinct brand experience. Instead of following the typical visual language of South Indian eateries, we built an identity that feels fresh, engaging, and rooted in storytelling—centered around Mama, a character who represents the care and authenticity behind every meal.

Logo & Visual Identity

The Mama Mangalore logo moves away from expected South Indian design cues, opting for a clean, recognizable look. The color palette—deep reds, warm yellows, and fresh greens—takes inspiration from the vibrancy of Mangalorean cuisine, while the typography ensures readability and a strong brand presence across digital and physical touchpoints.

Brand Character & Packaging

At the heart of the brand is Mama, a character who brings warmth and familiarity to the identity. This extended into the packaging, designed to resemble postal boxes with the message “From Mama, With Love.” This thoughtful detail makes every takeaway meal feel personal, reinforcing the idea that Mama is sending her food straight to you.

Brand Touchpoints

From menus and takeaway boxes to water bottles and team uniforms, every touchpoint was designed to create a cohesive and recognizable brand experience. The chef’s jackets and team T-shirts maintain a minimal yet distinct look, keeping the brand present across all interactions.
