Kura - A Connected Food & Beverage Experience
Kura
The Brief
Building a space worth staying for
KURA is a design-led food and beverage space built around good food, thoughtful beverages, and time well spent.
Brand Positioning
A Reserve of the Handmade
KURA positions itself as a reserve of carefully made food and beverages.
Coffee is roasted, bread is laminated, and pasta is rolled in-house—bringing three distinct crafts together under one roof.
Name Ideation
KURA
The name is inspired by the Japanese storehouse—a place built to safeguard something precious. For KURA, that idea translates into a space that brings together carefully made food, beverages, and experiences.
Identity - Logo
A mark built around connection
The KURA wordmark balances movement and structure, reflecting the brand's approach to creating connected, intentional experiences.
Colour Palette
Warm, grounded, and considered
The colour system was developed to support KURA's warm and understated character, creating a visual foundation that feels calm and inviting.
Typography
Clear and considered
The type system keeps communication simple and distinctive, supporting KURA's minimal, warm, and human character.
Brand Patterns
Connecting the pieces
The pattern system draws from interlocking forms, representing togetherness and the way individual elements come together to create a shared experience.
Space & Signage
Bringing the identity into the space
The KURA identity extends beyond the brand system into the physical environment, creating a consistent experience across the space and its signage.
Takeaway Packaging
KURA, beyond the space
The identity extends into takeaway packaging, carrying the KURA experience into the moments that happen beyond the café.
Outcome
From naming and positioning to identity, signage, packaging, and the physical space, we built KURA as one connected brand experience.
Selected applications of the brand system across touchpoints.
