01 The brief

The Porcupine is a contemporary European-style pub built around the idea of becoming your new regular.

Positioned as a modern Indian Public House, the brand offers an alternative to trend-driven hospitality, focusing on familiarity, consistency, and character. It is a space people return to for good food, well-poured pints, and a sense of belonging.

Our Design Approach

The brand was built around a simple belief: a great pub becomes part of your routine. The identity balances tradition and character, creating a brand that feels familiar, confident, and approachable across every touchpoint.

Logo & Identity

A distinctive identity system designed to reflect the brand's confident and grounded personality. The logo was developed to be flexible across physical and digital applications while maintaining a strong and recognisable presence.

Colour System

A palette of rich greens, warm neutrals, and dark grounding tones was developed to reflect the atmosphere of a classic public house. The system creates depth, warmth, and consistency across all brand communications.

Typography

A typography system combining character-led display type with functional supporting fonts. The pairing creates a clear visual hierarchy while maintaining the personality of the brand.

Illustration & Visual Language

Hand-drawn illustrations and graphic elements were developed to support the idea of "The New Regular." The visual language adds character and consistency across menus, coasters, packaging, and communications.

02 The approach

UI Branding

The brand identity was extended into digital environments through a cohesive UI branding system.

Colours, typography, graphic elements, and illustrations were adapted to create a consistent visual experience across digital touchpoints.

Brand Applications

The identity was applied across signage, beer tap, stationery, and environmental graphics. Each application was designed to create a cohesive brand experience across physical touchpoints.

Social Media

A structured social media system was developed to maintain consistency across content formats and campaigns. The framework translates the brand's personality into a recognisable and scalable digital presence.

Outcome

The Porcupine establishes itself as a modern public house built around familiarity, consistency, and character. The result is a brand designed to become part of people's routines rather than a temporary destination.
